Rohan had been fascinated with music and rhythm since childhood. Although the background of the family was not musical, but his father and grandfather like music a lot. They encouraged him. He was influenced with Bhajan, Classical music, Folk song, Western classical songs, Hindi and Marathi film song. The interest for listening to musical programs grew. He has a knack for playing whatever rhythm instrument he can get because of the charm of the artist.Realizing his love of rhythm, his father sent him to Shri Ravi Ponkshe to study tabla at the age of 10th year old. With the precise guidance of the teacher, many nuances in the music were realized and the knowledge started to improve. Under Raviji’s guidance he became Tabla VIsharad. He understood the nuances of drumset and also learned Western staff notation under guidance of senior artist Sri Deepak Yadavji. Currently he can play drumset, Congo, bongo, dholak, Octopad, side rhythm and other rhythm instruments. He held classes of the rhythm instruments at Dombivli as well as perform musical programs based on various concepts. Rohan has taught many students and performed many shows in South America. Currently there are many attractive events going on through his band Global Melodies. He always strives to learn new things as well as improve his craft.
