Omkar Agnihotri is a Mumbai-based harmonium virtuoso, pianist, and innovator, widely recognized for redefining the harmonium as a contemporary solo instrument. At the heart of his artistic identity lies the creation of the Rezhonium, a patented electric version of the traditional harmonium developed under his name, blending acoustic purity with modern sonic depth. Unveiled on prestigious global platforms, the Rezhonium represents his vision to take Indian classical sound to a wider, global audience while preserving its emotional depth and authenticity. In the Bollywood and OTT space, Omkar has contributed his signature harmonium sound to acclaimed songs such as Tere Hawale, What Jhumka, and the Deewaniyat Title Song, along with projects across films and web series including Mirzapur, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, Rahu Ketu, Deewaniyat, Saali Mohabbat, Dr. Arora, and The Great Indian Family. He has collaborated with leading composers like Pritam, Ajay-Atul, Anand Bhaskar, and Kingshuk Chakraborty, and worked alongside celebrated singers including Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Shilpa Rao, Vishal Mishra, Udit Narayan, Piyush Mishra, and Shaan, among others. Deeply rooted in tradition, Omkar’s musical foundation has been shaped under the guidance of esteemed gurus. He began his journey at the age of two under his grandfather, Pt. Uttamrao Agnihotri, and further refined his art under maestros Ustad Siraj Khan and Pt. Vishwanath Kanhere. Alongside his classical training, he has also studied piano and keyboard, allowing him to expand his musical vocabulary across genres. Beyond performance, his work extends into music production, composition, and mentoring aspiring musicians. Omkar gained widespread recognition as a finalist on Sangeet Samrat, where he stood out as a harmonium soloist. He is a graded artist of All India Radio and an empanelled artist with ICCR. He continues to push boundaries and elevate the Harmonium and Rezhonium globally.
