My journey with the cajón started very randomly, but it slowly became a big part of who I am. At first, I was just experimenting with beats, trying to match rhythms during casual jam sessions. But the more I played, the more I fell in love with the instrument. I realized a simple wooden box could create bass, snare, and so many textures if played with the right feel. Over time, I worked on my timing, control, and groove. Playing with different musicians helped me understand how to support a song without overpowering it. Now when I play, I don’t just keep the beat. I try to add energy and emotion to the music.
